Spring Greetings Everyone
Well, the spring runoff still continues to create high water flows on the Upper Weber. The water is still muddy but not as muddy as earlier in the runoff. My guess is we will be able to get not the river and fish with some success starting in about a week. There is still snow on some of the peaks and that is producing the continuous high water flows. With the temps predicted through the weekend I think we will see a lot less snow and water levels will start to drop. The fish will be hungry after a long and wet winter. My go-to for early fishing will be streamers in some of the deeper pools. So far we are not seeing many hatch’s in the afternoons, but if you are so inclined to go dry then try some large attractors with some purple color in them.I think the coming summer will be excellent fishing on the Upper Weber this summer because of the great snow pack providing plenty of water in the Weber River drainage.I will continue to post on this site in the weeks ahead and keep you all up to date on the fishing.I look forward to seeing all on the river and if you would like a day with a guide or have questions please reach out to me.
Cheers
